We're Sugar Brook Maple Farm — a small family operation deep in the Catskills, boiling sap into syrup the old-fashioned way. No shortcuts, no blends, just pure tree juice and a lot of patience.

Maple trees tapped
Sugar Brook Maple Farm started as a weekend project for one family — tapping a handful of sugar maples behind their house in Kerhonkson. Thirty-five years later, those trees are still here, and we've got a few more.
What hasn't changed is our approach: we tap sustainably, boil in an open pan over an wood fire, and bottle every batch by hand. No additives, no inversion sugar, no tricks. If it tastes like maple, it's because it is maple.
Every product starts with sap from our own trees. We keep it simple because there's no reason to complicate perfection.
Our signature syrup. Delicate, buttery, with a hint of vanilla. Perfect for pancakes, yogurt, or just eating off the spoon.
Bold, rich, and deeply mapley. This one's for people who like their syrup to taste like itself — strong and unapologetic.
Soft, creamy, and impossibly sweet. Made from our own syrup, these are the kind of treats that disappear fast at the sugarhouse.
Not your average spread. Our maple butter is creamed to a luxuriously smooth consistency — thick, rich, and perfect on anything.
The first syrup of the season — light, mild, and delicate. A subtle maple flavor that's incredible drizzled over fresh fruit or whipped cream.
Put together a gift that tastes like the Catskills. Our curated bundles include our best syrups, candy, and maple butter in a keepsake box.
There's no machine that can replicate what we do by hand. Here's the journey each batch takes.
When the days warm up and nights still frost over, we drill small holes into sugar maples and hang collection bags. It's all natural — the tree does the work.
We check the lines daily and haul the sap to the sugarhouse. It takes about 40 gallons of clear, watery sap to make just one gallon of syrup.
The sap goes into our open pan over a wood fire. We skim the scum, watch the density, and wait. It's slow, hot work — and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Fresh from the pan, the syrup gets filtered through wool and bottled while warm. Each bottle is capped, labeled, and ready for you.

There's nothing quite like watching the syrup boil over an open fire, breathing in that sweet smoke, and buying a bottle straight from the pan. We love having visitors.
